So It's Official!

Right before Thanksgiving, Seth found out that his company that he works for might be going out of business.  His boss said that he will be paid when he would get back on the 1st.  Stressful times if I might add.  Well yesterday came around and still no paycheck and the company is for sure going out of business estimated date is sometime before Christmas.  I would say what a wonderful time to lose a job right before the holidays.  It is very frustrating to know that your husband is working and not getting paid for the hard work that he has done for this company.  He has put so much time into it and his grades have suffered.  For what?  To lose the job at the end of the semester.

I have applied for a team lead position and I had my interview last week.  I think it went well.  Today at work one of the supervisors who interviewed me said that if I want the job I would have to work on Saturday and Sunday.  I am ok working one day of the weekend but not both.  I told him that I would need to have Sunday off because I have a church calling that I need to do each week.  I said I could work any day except for Sunday and if they could work it out I would be willing to take the position if I could have Sunday off.  We shall see what happens.

So there is your little update on what is going on with us.

Freakin DMV

So I was getting the mail today and Seth and I got something from the DMV from California.  So I open it up and find out that they sent a Notice of Delinquent Renewal.  It pretty much said that I am past my expiration date of registering my car in CA and that I need to pay the fee.  I was so pissed off that they sent us one because we no longer live in CA and plus we also registered our car here in UT.  You would think that if have already registered your car in a different state that they would have access to that record.  So I call their customer service, even if you can call it that to see why I got this notice.  This lady came on and had this horrible attitude with me.  I asked why I got this notice when I no longer live in the state of CA.  She then said in a nasty tone that they do not have record that we have moved and that I would need to send a statement of fact showing that my car is registered here in Utah.  I then asked how would I get this statement of fact and how would I prove that I am no longer in CA.  She said that I could download the form or she could mail it out and I would need to show a copy of my car registration here in UT.  I was not going to take this lady's attitude so I gave it right back to her.   I said she could mail it to me and I told her that the car registration is under Wyly and not Madsen.  She was then like what would you want your name to be.  I told her I would like it to be Madsen and I told her my address and when I got to the apt she was like I am on State.  She then asked what city and she couldn't even spell the city Provo.  Provo is a really easy name to spell, I think.  This lady really pissed me off and I just wanted to vent.

Sorry for the rantings, but seeing that I work as a customer service representative I feel that I should have gotten more respect and I should have least gotten better results out of this lady.  It is one think to have a rotten attitude but you shouldn't take it on the people that you are talking to.  I am also mad at the fact that I just got done dealing with changing my name, getting my license, and getting the car registered.  But now I have deal with the government of California a state I no longer live in.  When will this end?

Callings

So today, I actually felt well enough to go to church.  Right after our Relief Society and Priesthood block we were taken by the second counselor of the Bishopric to be given a calling.  Guess what our callings are?  If you guessed, Ward Choristers you would be correct.  I guess being a chorister is my life long calling seeing that has been my calling since I have turned 18.  We are both looking forward to it and I will have to teach Seth again how to do it.  Fun times for me ahead.  I think it is cool that Seth and I both have the opportunity to serve our ward and be able to do this together.

The Wedding

We got married on the May 24th at the Los Angeles Temple.  It had rained the day before so we were worried that it would ruin our outside reception and our pictures.  Overall, the weather was perfect for our wedding day no rain at all, just cold.  It was a very long day but well worth the wait of 9 months and searching for the right companion to spend eternity with.  I am so grateful that we had prepared ourselves to be married in the temple and have the wonderful blessings that comes with a temple marriage.  It was great to see old friends and family members that we have not seen in awhile.  Thank you to everyone who put in so much time and effort to come down to LA and make this day so special for us.
